Tim Wilson

Writer | Animal Lover

My love of storytelling dates back to childhood, when I was 9 years old, and I wrote a short story about cowboys and outlaws (inspired by my love of TV westerns).

From these modest beginnings I spent the next 20 or so years writing narrative fiction, turning out two unpublished novels and a dozen short stories.

My passion for movies led me to change course in 1997 and to pursue the craft of screenplay writing. In 2003 I was accepted into Grand Rapids, Michigan’s Compass Film Academy, where I honed my craft, as well as learning various aspects of film production. While a student at Compass, I wrote a TV pilot for a show based on my experiences working in the maternity unit of a local hospital. With help from fellow Compass students I was able to film the pilot, directing and producing it. Since 2005 I’ve written three feature-length scripts and I am developing several others.
